Summoner
Halloween Masquerade (Garnet and Fang)

Fang kept calm in her pace and made certain to slow down as needed for the other. She couldn’t help but smile at the jest about being in character. “Ah, well, I find it fun to stick to character or else I’d lose my advantage of mystery.” she let loose. Of course she would be giving herself away if she stepped out of character, her accent would clue everyone in on who she was. It was a struggle to keep the lilting out of her vocals but she had practiced hard for a week to speak without it well enough for the party.

“I believe we are as long as we do not give out our actual names.” Fang paused for a moment and coughed into her free arm. At least the evening wasn’t terribly cold yet. “Alias? Ah, perhaps we should though I haven’t given it much thought. Only thing coming to my mind for myself would be something like Crimson Rogue. Nothing fancy but enough to know and recognize.” she commented. The wind gust caused her cape to shift against the back of her legs and she moved after the other calmly.

“Then I better get you through so you can enjoy the food for the evening, Milady.” she grinned once more.

“Sorry about that, this dress is heavy. I guess I did over do it a little for a Halloween party huh?"

Garnet giggled as she thought of a name of her own. "Hmm, Crimson Rogue..that is pretty nice. I have no idea what I should call myself..I looked like a doll to me when I last saw myself. All I need now is some strings attached and ill be a marionette.” She tilted her head as she realized this could work. “Maybe I’ll just go with Marionette, Mari for short.” She moved her free hand closer to the one held on to her company and clapped lightly. “Awesome, now we wont lose each other.”

Til could hear the music getting louder as they ran into a group tracking back thinking they went the wrong way. She heard a student in another corridor speaking. “Your path shall be easier then ever fair maiden.” She wondered where she had heard that voice in that tone before, forgetting that she had Crimson Rogue with her.

“Oh I’m sorry I heard something…strange.” She laughed. “We should hurry before The Ghost of Twilight Town comes after us.” The entrance to the party was reached, and what a party indeed.

The reaction from the woman only made the rouge smirk a bit more as she righted herself. She reached out with a gloved hand toward the other. “Well, I do have a nasty habit of being quiet when I walk.” she remarked managing well enough to leave her accent out of play. The woman was quick to readjust her statement of Fang being a man and she could only chuckle a bit from it all.

“I know you meant no harm. No offense taken from me either about the gender confusion. I live for the thrill of having fun.” Fang explained only to move forward a bit more offering the stranger her arm. She was dressed as a rogue so why couldn’t she act like a charming one? It was all part of the role she took on with the mask and attire for the evening.

At the question on the maze, Fang tilted her hat down a tad bit before adjusting it to sit properly once more. “It’s fairly easy for me. I can navigate rather well in most conditions but I do enjoy some of the trickery I have seen befall others this night. We can take our time wandering about before I lead you to the main party perhaps? I wish to escort you through to make certain you do not get lost once more.”

Til nodded as she heard the confirmation of her question. Now that she had company it would make things a lot better. “Thank you, seems like you read my mind, how mysterious of you.” Taking her arm they walked the path before them, Garnet’s costume started to bug her already and the best part of the night didn’t even begin.

“Well that is lovely, so this will be a nice stroll.” Trying to be as formal as she could, Garnet thought of what she thought was right. She laughed as she couldn’t think of much else to say to stay in character. “Oh man, I don’t think I will last too long if I try to stay in character. It takes a lot, trust me.” She swiped the hair covering the mask on the left behind her ear. “So we are a loud to ask questions right? At least enough to get to know each other?” She paused for short moment to hear a few student’s dashing through another hall of the maze. “I mean if I get lost once again, not saying that you aren’t going to keep your word. But if I do who will i shout out to? I can’t go around shouting, red bandit, oh red savior I need your aid.” She tried to keep her laugh quiet as she spoke. “We should create alias’” She said witty.

A breeze blew through, blowing Garnet a few steps forward. “Jeez, seems like mother nature is rushing me. Maybe she knows I’m starving.” Though she said that she was determined to deal with it and meet her goal at succeeding the maze.

Halloween Masquerade (Garnet and Fang)

bahamut-yun-fang:

The masquerade event had many students buzzing earlier in the week. In the time before the party, Fang had deduced a quick costume without using items people had seen of hers along with a few purchased items. She kept her things hidden and out of sight from anyone who can have spotted her with them. Sure, her costume was probably generic but that wasn’t all she had practiced. Her voice would be a dead giveaway at the party so she worked hard to tone her accent down to blend in better. Without the inflections, she still sounded rather alluring in her opinion. She slipped on a black tank shirt before tucking it into the leather pants to her costume and looked to herself a moment. “May as well get the rest on.”

She managed to tie the red pirate shirt sleeves around gray leather gloves after getting her mask set right on her face. Her fingers fumbled with the sword belt and prop sword but she managed it all the same. Finishing up her look with the vest and extra belt, she adjusted the red cape clasp about her neck and moved on to head to the maze. She wandered through and easily enough was able to figure out the way into the main section and the party but she rounded back out of curiosity’s sake. The woman wandered before coming across a lovely woman seated in the grass. Clearing her throat, Fang forced herself to not use her natural voice inflections. “Might I be of service to you tonight, Milady?” she inquired only to bow at the waist and extend her right up upward and back. Her cape parted allowing a view of the prop sword at her hip and her costume’s entirety.

Til stood as she heard someone step to her and speak. The costume that she saw was very unique. She gasped and dusted her self off, it seemed that she had come across a hero. Garnet smiled and laughed sweetly. “Thank you, stranger. Though the only thing you have done to service me so far tonight was to partly frighten me with a sweet greeting.” Garnet completely forgot she had a mask on so that her facial expressions showing off that she was joking didn’t work out too well.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I was just joking by the way. Thank you so much for coming along…sir?” She took a another glance through her mask to get a view of the curves set on her new acquaintance. “I'I mean miss, I assure you I don’t mean any harm.” Seemed like Garnet was failing left and right. She almost wanted to take her mask off an apologize with a sincere face to face.

“So, how is the maze for you? As you can tell I got a bit annoyed with it, they shouldn’t have made it so long.” Til couldn’t complain too much, it was more fun then tiring but she didn’t know quite to say. “Can you believe all of this?” A muffled giggle came after. “This is pretty nice for a campus Halloween party, and I bet the main event is even better.” Garnet looked around before taking a few steps from the spot she sat. “It shouldn’t be much longer before we make it there, and you seem to know your way.”

Garnet was happy to have someone to talk to along the way but she didn’t want to rush through all of the maze, making the night a bit shorter then it would be if she would move a slow pace. the girl didn’t get away from her studies much, parties weren’t really her thing unless she was with close friends, and no one really talked to her about meeting her there. All she had to look forward to was the maze, dinner and sweets after, and a moonlit dance with god knows who.
